The Process
01 / Book
Complete the inquiry form to receive a quote for your invitation suite. Once you have accepted the proposal and have paid your retainer, you will be booked in our calendar.
02 / Design
We will send a questionnaire to complete with all of your details; two rounds of revisions are included to perfect your design.
03 / Production & Shipping
After you love your design, we will begin printing & production of your order. We will carefully assemble, pack and ship your order to you ready for postage and mailing.
Printing
Foiled Letterpress
A beautifully upgraded version of letterpress, where a plate is used and pressed into the paper, leaving a subtle, sophisticated sheen. We also offer matte ink letterpress.
Blind Letterpress
A personal favorite in the studio, this is where a design is pressed into the paper with no ink (deboss), leaving a beautiful tactile experience.
Embossing
An elegant form of printing, embossing is where two plates are used so the graphics are raised above the surface.
Digital Printing
The most economical choice, digital printing can be used in certain applications if you are on a tighter budget.
Paper
Cotton Cardstock
Our signature paper is 100% tree free, luxurious to the touch, and comes in 2 weights and colors (white or ivory). We also offer standard cardstock in a variety of colors.
1-Ply: 118lb.
2-Ply (double thick): 236lb.
Handmade Paper
Our beautiful, thick handmade paper is sustainable and textured. Available in several shades, this paper is a favorite for invitations.
Approximately 110-130lb.
Envelopes
Dark envelopes require a white ink printing surcharge

Twine is available in thick beige, olive, or thin white
Wax Seals
We will coordinate the design with your chosen Semi-Custom Collection; all of our wax seals are custom designed.

We have been in business a long time (almost 20 years) and we are obsessed with paper. We have experience with most available print methods, and we operate out of a beautiful studio in Dallas.

When you inquire and book with us, we will provide a timeline for your stationery. We recommend booking as soon as possible, so you are scheduled for your design time and can prepare your wording and guest address list.
From the beginning of the design phase through production, this is typically 6-8 weeks.

Yes! For our invitation clients, we are happy to curate beautiful, cohesive stationery such as menus, place cards, seating displays, matchbooks, napkins, signage, thank you cards and more.

Our semi-custom suites ship flat and unassembled; we do offer assembly as an add-on service.
Our custom design invitations will arrive assembled.

Absolutely! We have been excited to design for several weddings in Italy, France, England, Australia, Canada and Japan (so far). We love using inspiration from the surrounding areas to bring depth to your design.

All artwork will remain the property of August + White, so any other licensing can be quoted separately. If you commission us for day-of as well, we can reuse artwork from your other pieces to ensure everything is cohesive.
